The insurance of the Office of Labor Accident, Illness and Maternity Insurance (OFATMA), to which members of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) are affiliated, is nearly dysfunctional, noted Mathieuny Sidel from the National Union of Haitian Police Officers (SYNAPOHA).
According to Mr. Sidel, the PNH does not have a hospital center reserved for its agents. However, members of the institution possess an OFATMA insurance card, which practically offers no services in practice.
