Union representative Mathieuny Sydel, from the National Union of Haitian Police (SYNAPOHA), raised the issue of unfulfilled promises to retiring police officers on Thursday, October 8, 2026, on the airwaves of Magik 9. He denounced the non-application of the decree related to the career plan within the Haitian National Police (PNH).
“From Prime Minister Conille to Prime Minister Fils-Aimé, not a single Minister of Finance has complied with the requirements of the decree. Article 77.1 is never applied,” Mr. Sydel stated.
