During his participation in Panel Magik on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, Diego Da Rin stated that the "deployment of the FRG has been slower than expected." Established by resolution 2793 in September 2025 to replace the Multinational Security Support Mission (MMAS), this force is intended to be of a new nature and led by 5,500 military personnel and 50 civilian staff members.
In addition to its new nature, the FRG is expected to have a broader presence than the MMAS and a more predictable funding environment.
