The Federal Aviation Administration (commonly known in English as the FAA), the U.S. civil aviation authority, has extended for an additional six months the restrictions imposed on U.S. flights to Port-au-Prince, through March 2, 2027. The FAA cited “safety risks related to the country’s continued instability” in this new FAA notice, which took effect on September 1, 2026.
