Provisional Electoral Council Extends Deadline for Political Party Alliances

The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) has extended the registration period for political organizations wishing to join together with a view to participating in the upcoming elections.

Of the 316 approved political organizations, 227 have already joined one of the 17 political groups registered with the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP). The electoral institution now intends to persuade the remaining 89 parties to join a group before the first round of elections, scheduled for December 13.
