Political Groups Urge CEP to Halt Registration of Party Alliances

To allow the 316 approved political parties to form alliances before the elections, the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) launched the registration period for political party groupings from July 13 to July 17. Citing constraints related to the electoral process and expressing their concerns, about twenty political organizations are asking the CEP to suspend the registration process for the time being.
