Haitian National Police Deploys Armored Vehicles and Elite Units Amid Violence in Cul-de-Sac

The Police nationale d’Haïti (PNH) announced on Monday, May 11, the deployment of several specialized units and nine armored vehicles in the Plaine du Cul-de-Sac, in response to violent clashes between rival terrorist gangs that have spread terror throughout the area since the evening of Sunday, May 10.

According to the statement published early in the evening by the PNH, the CIMO, BRI, Task Force, UDMO, and SWAT units were positioned in Cazeau, Carrefour Drouillard, Terre Noire, and other sensitive areas.
