Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé took part on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in a Mass for peace in Haiti. Celebrated at the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Mass was presided over by the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin.
In his homily, Pietro Parolin prayed for the restoration of peace in Haiti as well as for peacebuilders around the world, recalling that after his resurrection, it was with a “desire for peace that Jesus presented himself before the ecclesial community.”
