Education Minister Threatens to Withhold Salaries for Striking Teachers

The Minister of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP), Augustin Antoine, is threatening to withhold the paychecks of teachers who are absent from their classrooms. During a tour in the northern department of the country, the minister responded to questions from local journalists about the problems observed at the Departmental Directorate of Education North, particularly the "unlimited" strike of public school teachers.
