Studying and Succeeding Together: A Mother and Daughter's Winning Bet

Marnatha Irène Ternier is well known in the Haitian community, both in Haiti and in Florida, where she had to reside to achieve this accomplishment. Mrs. Ternier, who does not hide her love for her country and homeland, worked for over two decades in finance and public administration in Haiti. A former Minister of Haitians Living Abroad, Mrs. Ternier has never stopped learning. For her, life is always a school.

After her initial studies in computer science, she pursued studies in marketing, public relations, and later in accounting. Her studies were never easy, but she put her heart into them, and from that moment, nothing could stop her.

Even when she became pregnant while completing her secondary education, she said: “I gave birth to my first child in May 1997. I took my baccalaureate exams in July, and in September, I passed the entrance exam to enter university.”
