MENFP Wraps Up NECTAR Project

The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) concluded the New Citizen Education Focused on the Future project (NECTAR). The closing ceremony was held at the Royal Oasis Hotel in Pétion-Ville on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Financed and technically supported by French cooperation through the French Development Agency (AFD), the NECTAR project was carried out by the General Coordination of the Teaching and Quality Pole (CGPEQ) of the MENFP and implemented in third-cycle fundamental classes and at the secondary level.

The closing ceremony brought together several actors from the Haitian education system as well as technical and financial partners of the ministry. In his speech, the coordinator of the CGPEQ, Joseph Job Maurice, presented the project as "a structured, methodical, and ambitious response to the urgent needs" of the Haitian education system.
