Diego Da Rin Assesses the Gang Suppression Force and the Development of Haiti’s Security Forces

The International Crisis Group's Haiti analyst, Diego Da Rin, offered a detailed analysis Friday on Magik 9 of the letter sent by Jack Christofides, the civilian representative of the Gang Suppression Force (FRG), to the presidency of the United Nations Security Council. According to Diego Da Rin, the approximately five-page document outlines three objectives for the force: reclaim territories currently under gang control, secure critical infrastructure, and create an environment conducive to lasting stability, including the organization
