CEP Announces Review of Proposed $250 Million Budget

Following the outright rejection by Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé of the $250 million electoral budget, the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) has announced a reassessment of this amount. To that end, the CEP says it is setting up a special commission composed of senior officials from the electoral institution, as well as representatives from the United Nations Development Programme, United Nations Office for Project Services, and United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti.
