The principal mayor of Milot, Wesner Joseph, was taken into custody by the Haitian National Police as part of the investigation into the tragedy that occurred at the Citadelle Henri, which left 25 dead and around thirty injured on Saturday, April 11, 2026. The information was confirmed by the government commissioner at the Court of First Instance of Cap-Haïtien, Eno Zéphyrin, during an appearance on Magik9 on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
