Following the tragedy that left nearly 25 dead and around thirty injured at the Citadelle Henri, in Milot, in the Nord department, the Haitian government and several diplomatic representations in Port-au-Prince expressed their sympathies.
In a statement published a few hours after the tragedy, the Prime Minister’s Office indicated that “the national authorities express their deep emotion and immense sadness,” while presenting the government’s condolences to the families of the victims.
