After the circulation of images showing politicians seeking to file their candidacies to become president or prime minister during the registration process opened by three outgoing members of the Transitional Presidential Council, many observers have questioned the viability of Haiti’s political class—particularly the segment that places its trust in the presidential advisers who arrogated to themselves the right to choose their successor… The question of whether the pro-TPC political class will survive February 7 and the Transitional Presidential Council should not even arise.
