Between July 1 and September 30, 2025, at least 1,247 people were killed and 710 were injured, according to the United Nations. Added to this are at least 145 kidnappings for ransom and 400 victims of sexual violence. The UN noted that during the third quarter of 2025, although gangs did not make new advances within the capital and were even pushed back from certain neighborhoods, their attacks continued to spread to the outskirts and rural areas of Port-au-Prince, as well as to the Artibonite and Centre departments.
