Haitian Government Finally Welcomes the Election of Canada’s Prime Minister

Five days after the election of Canada’s Prime Minister, the Haitian government has finally acknowledged Mark Carney’s victory. In a statement released Friday, the Prime Minister’s Office reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. However, the Presidential Transitional Council has still not said a word about Mr. Carney’s election.
