The Ministry of Environment organizes three workshop days on the drafting of the 7th Report on biodiversity

The Ministry of Environment launched a three-day national workshop on Monday dedicated to the preparation of Haiti's seventh Report on biodiversity, in the lead-up to COP17 in Armenia. During his speech at the event, Minister of Environment Valéry Fils‑Aimé urged to place biodiversity at the heart of development choices, highlighting the potential of marine and coastal ecosystems for investment and employment. According to the ministry, the works will allow for an assessment of the current state, identifying major pressures – deforestation, land degradation, climate change – and consolidating contributions from stakeholders for a national document reflecting progress and action priorities.
