The elections will not be perfect, but the results must reflect the will of the Haitian people, Canadian Ambassador André François Giroux essentially said during an interview marking the end of his mission, granted to Le Nouvelliste Editor-in-Chief Frantz Duval.

“When we look at governance, I think that despite the challenges, despite the fatigue linked to the transition, we still have a transitional government that is moving forward on the two priorities, which are security and elections,” Giroux said.
