Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, which operates the cruise port of Labadee in northern Haiti, announced this Tuesday, January 13, that it is extending the suspension of its port calls until the end of 2026. This news is a major blow to the country’s only cruise port, which used to receive nearly one million cruise passengers per year.
The company cited security reasons to explain the continued halt of its operations.
