Haitians continue to savor the historic qualification of the national football team for the next FIFA World Cup. Listening to many of us, there are still not enough words to describe this dream come true more than 50 years after our participation in the world’s greatest sporting event.
The dream is coming true at a moment when it seemed most unlikely. Some international media keep reminding us of this. They ask how it is possible for a country where football has been on pause for almost four years to accomplish such a feat.
