Florida: Seven Individuals Born in Haiti Elected or Re-elected Following the November 2026 Election

A total of seven Haitian-Americans, two school board members, four state legislators, and one mayor, born in Port-au-Prince, Cap-Haïtien, or Port-de-Paix, will sit in Florida institutions following the midterm election cycle of November 3, 2026. This is a first for the Miami-Dade and Palm Beach school boards.<\/i><\/p>

They are Berny Jacques, Mack Bernard, Daphne Campbell, Marie Woodson, Christina Romelus, Samson Borgelin, and Linda Cothiere. All were born in Haiti. All won or retained a public office in Florida following the 2026 elect
