MSF urges protection for civilians during armed clashes

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) urgently calls on authorities and all stakeholders to spare civilians, following the escalation of armed clashes in Port-au-Prince over the past ten days. In a statement dated Wednesday, October 28, MSF also urges to guarantee access to healthcare facilities for all injured and sick individuals, without distinction. This outbreak of violence follows the disappearance on October 18, 2026, of several members of the Gang Suppression Force (FRG) in the Plaine de Cul-de-Sac, during an attack on their vehicle by armed group members, the organization recalls. Search operations have been launched in the area since last week by the FRG, supported by Salvadoran military, in an effort to locate four missing Salvadorans.<\/p>
