Severe Weather: Orange Alert in Five Departments of Haiti

The Hydrometeorological Unit of Haiti (UHM) has placed Grand'Anse, Sud, Nippes, Sud-Est, and Ouest under an orange alert due to heavy rainfall expected until Tuesday, October 27. The departments of Nord-Ouest and Artibonite are under a yellow alert. The UHM forecasts high risks of flooding and landslides in areas under orange alert, and moderate risks in those under yellow alert.
