Nippes: inauguration of the new building of the National School of Labiche

The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP), in collaboration with UNICEF and with the support of the Canadian Embassy in Haiti and the United Nations Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MPTF), inaugurated the new building of the National School of Labiche, located in the municipality of Plaisance, in the Nippes department. Destroyed during the earthquake of August 14, 2021, the establishment now has 11 equipped classrooms, separate sanitary blocks for girls and boys, as well as a cafeteria. These facilities are expected to accommodate over 500 students. In this regard, this reconstruction aims to strengthen children's access to quality education, in a context particularly marked by insecurity and population displacement.<\/p>
