The Ministry of Defense and UNESCO Prepare a Workshop on Law Enforcement

Defense Minister Mario Andrésol met on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, with UNESCO representative in Haiti, Eric Voli Bi, to discuss a training workshop scheduled for October 27 to 29. The event will bring together military personnel from the Haitian Armed Forces (FAd'H), officers from the PNH, and media professionals to address issues of law enforcement, freedom of expression, and the safety of journalists in crisis contexts. During this meeting, the minister emphasized the importance of balanced professional relationships between security forces and the media, reaffirming the ministry's willingness to support initiatives that promote mutual understanding and respect for each party's responsibilities.
