A commemorative day scheduled for October 30 to celebrate the legacy of Jean Price-Mars

The Haitian National Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO (CNHCU), in conjunction with the Ministry of National Education and Professional Training (MENFP) and the National Agency for Higher Education and Scientific Research (ANESRS), will organize a commemorative day on Friday, October 30, 2026, to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Jean Price-Mars. Organized around the theme "Thus spoke the uncle: memory, identity, and national pride," this event will take place in a hybrid format. It aims to celebrate the intellectual and cultural legacy of this Haitian physician, ethnologist, diplomat, and politician. To this end, the organizers invite students, researchers, teachers, and the general public to participate in this tribute.<\/p>
