The investigation into the drug seizure on the island of La Tortue in July 2025 is at a standstill, stated Pierre Esperance, executive director of the National Network for the Defense of Human Rights (RNDDH).
On the airwaves of Magik9, Thursday, October 8, 2026, Mr. Esperance indicated that the head of the Anti-Narcotics Trafficking Brigade (BLTS), who led the operations that resulted in the seizure of this shipment, has been replaced while the investigations were ongoing.
