Minister Serge Gabriel Collin unveils the main lines of the 2026-2027 budget

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Serge Gabriel Collin, presented, on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, during a press conference, the main lines of the 2026-2027 budget, estimated at 401.2 billion gourdes. According to him, the budget emphasizes security, education, the electoral process, and the revival of the economy. Resources are notably allocated to strengthen the National Police of Haiti (PNH) and support the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP). The country’s finance minister also highlights that investments are planned in road, health, and educational infrastructures, particularly in the Grand Nord and the South, to support public services and economic activity in several regions of the country.
