Industry Week 2026: The Government Focuses on Reviving the Sector

Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé officially opened, on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the Karibe hotel, the first edition of Industry Week, organized around the theme "Towards the Revitalization of the Haitian Industrial Sector." In the presence of the Minister of Commerce and Industry, James Monazard, the head of government reaffirmed his administration's commitment to supporting the revival of the industrial sector. Furthermore, he announced the implementation of a Strategic Industrial Policy Plan aimed notably at structuring sectors, modernizing infrastructure, and improving the operating conditions of the sector. The Prime Minister also emphasized the revival of industry as a means to reduce dependence on imports, enhance local resources, and create jobs.
