The CARDH welcomes the extension of the FRG mandate in Haiti

The Center for Analysis and Research in Human Rights (CARDH) welcomes the adoption by the UN Security Council of resolution 2829, extending the mandate of the Gang Suppression Force (FRG) until March 31, 2027. In a post on X, the CARDH emphasizes that the effective deployment of the Force depends on the adherence to commitments by contributing countries regarding personnel and appropriate equipment. The organization insists on the need to sustainably strengthen the capacities of national security forces so that they can ensure the protection of the population.<\/p>
