According to Peterson Benjamin Noël, the issue related to gasoline sold on the Haitian market goes beyond just the quality of the product and reveals primarily a weakness in oversight.
Speaking at Panel Magik on Friday, September 25, 2026, Mr. Noël criticized the "incompetence" of the agents of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI), who claimed to verify the quality of the gasoline by simple observation of samples taken from gas stations.
"If this control issue arises with oil and has already occurred with medications, in the future it could happen with food," warned Peterson Benjamin Noël.
