Canadian-Haitian writer Thélyson Orélien, one of the breakout authors of the literary season, rejected on Tuesday accusations that he used AI to write his novel C’était ça ou mourir, allegations made by an anonymous X account that went viral.
“I have always loved creating and writing. I don’t see why I would turn to a machine,” the author told Libération. He said he is “in the process of putting together a file” with his publishers “to prove” that he wrote the book himself.
