The Haitian justice system has relinquished the case of the assassination of Jovenel Moïse in favor of the American justice system, said Pierre Espérance, executive director of the National Network for the Defense of Human Rights (RNDDH), following the transfer of 17 Colombians and Joseph Félix Badio, all presumed involved in the assassination.<\/p>
Speaking at Panel Magik on Monday, September 21, 2026, Pierre Espérance emphasized that, five years after the judicial proceedings were launched in Haiti regarding this case, the Haitian justice system had not done much.<\/p>
