The Embassy of Haiti in France received, on Thursday, September 16, 2026, a delegation of 20 Haitian trainers in training in France as part of the preparations for the entry into force of the new Penal Code and the new Code of Criminal Procedure. Composed notably of magistrates, lawyers, and other professionals from the criminal justice system, the delegation is undergoing training with several French institutions to enhance their knowledge of the new provisions and procedures. During this visit, Ambassador Louino Volcy emphasized the importance of this training to support the reform of the Haitian justice system, with the entry into force of the two new codes set for January 1, 2027.<\/p>
