The ONI provides an update on the issuance of national identification cards

The National Identification Office (ONI) indicates that it has registered 6,583,753 citizens across the country. According to the figures communicated by the institution, 5,837,560 national identification cards (CIN) have already been issued to citizens, representing 88.67% of registered individuals. Meanwhile, 746,193 cards, or 11.33% of registered applications, are still awaiting issuance. The ONI plans to strengthen its efforts to accelerate the issuance of CIN and enable a greater number of citizens to obtain their national identification card.<\/p>
