The EU condemns the deadly gang attack in Kenscoff

The European Union (EU) delegation and the embassies of Spain and France in Haiti declare to strongly condemn the attack perpetrated by criminal gangs in Kenscoff, on the night of August 23 to 24, 2026. In a message posted on the social media platform X, they reaffirm their determination to support the Haitian authorities, through their assistance to the National Police of Haiti (PNH), the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAD'H), and the Gang Suppression Force (FRG), in restoring peace and security in Haiti. The EU and its member states take this opportunity to extend their condolences to the families of the victims as well as their support to the mayor of the municipality and the affected communities. More than 40 people have been killed in this latest gang assault in Kenscoff, according to available information.<\/p>
