Assessment mission in Gonaïves: the MTPTC and MDE mobilized for priority projects

A ministerial delegation led by the Ministers of Public Works, Joseph Almathe Pierre Louis, and the Environment, Valéry Fils-Aimé, visited Gonaïves on August 20, 2026, as part of a follow-up and evaluation mission for the state's priority projects. The delegation specifically evaluated the electoral preparations at the Registration and Voting Center of the Lycée du Bicentenaire, then inspected several interventions on the Mission 1, Ceinture Bienac, and Bois d'Homme channels. Construction work on culverts and lateral ditches is planned at these last two sites. This mission aims to enhance the oversight of public works and to combine land use planning with environmental protection in the Artibonite.
