Elections: 105 Political Parties and Groups Obtain Their Campaign Number

The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) held a draw on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, to assign campaign numbers to registered political parties and groups in anticipation of the upcoming elections. The event took place in the presence of representatives from parties, national and international partners, as well as the media, and involved 88 political parties and 17 political groups. The CEP clarified that the numbers were assigned through a draw, following a transparent procedure based on two drums containing, respectively, the names of the political formations and the available numbers. At the end of the operation, the CEP made public the list of the 105 political structures along with the numbers assigned to them. The Electoral Council also specified that the registration of candidates opens this Thursday, August 20, 2026.<\/p>
