The holder of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP), Vijonet Déméro, and the Director General of the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES), Kesner Romilus, signed a protocol agreement this Tuesday to launch the "Cash Transfer-Education" program. According to the MENFP, this initiative provides a budget of 2.5 billion gourdes intended for 140,000 parents of students from national, community, municipal, and presbyteral schools in disadvantaged areas. Each beneficiary will receive 15,000 gourdes to ease the costs associated with the back-to-school season. The operations will be executed by the FAES based on the lists generated by the SIGE system of the MENFP.
