The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship (MAEC), Raina Forbin, signed on Monday, August 17, 2026, with Gianpiero Leoncini, Executive Vice President of the Andean Development Corporation (CAF), also known as the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, an agreement concerning immunities, exemptions, and privileges between the Republic of Haiti and CAF. This agreement will allow CAF to carry out its activities on national territory, according to the MAEC. This signature is part of the process of Haiti's accession to CAF as a shareholder member country. It follows the signing on the same day of the share subscription agreement by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Serge Gabriel Collin, on behalf of the Haitian State.
