Employment is a non-issue in Haiti. It is not the subject of any regular report: neither by the IHSI, nor the BRH, and even less by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry or the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
In the United States, the Employment Situation Report, or job report, published monthly by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), indicates the number of jobs created in the economy, sector by sector, with the exception of agriculture. It is one of the most closely watched economic indicators in the world.
