Cap-Haïtien recorded, on Friday, February 20, 2026, the arrival of several armored vehicles intended to strengthen the operational capacities of the Haitian National Police (PNH) in the Nord department in response to the resurgence of insecurity. The vehicles were officially received at the Cap-Haïtien International Port by the departmental director of the Nord of the Haitian National Police, Sem Calixte.
In a statement to the press, Sem Calixte issued an unequivocal warning to armed individuals disturbing public order. &
