The human toll from Hurricane Melissa’s passage over Haiti has risen. According to the latest figures released by the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC), the storm left 43 dead, 21 injured, and 13 missing across the country. Of these, 25 deaths were recorded in Petit-Goâve alone.
Since the previous report, authorities have indicated that five additional bodies have been found, along with one survivor.
