On September 20, 2000, Carlo A. Désinor passed away. He had served as editor-in-chief of Le Nouvelliste from January 1993 until his death. Carlo A. Désinor led a rich career as a physician, a prominent journalist (radio, television, and print), and the author of numerous works.
Twice a minister under the government of Haiti’s first female president, Ertha Pascal Trouillot, Carlo began publishing in the newspaper while still in secondary school.
