The initial verifications conducted on the bodies found in a drifting boat along the northern coast of Brazil do not confirm that they are Haitian nationals. In a statement released by the Brazilian Ministry of Justice on April 16, it is emphasized that everything indicates that they are migrants from Africa. Furthermore, there are 9 bodies, not 20 as previously indicated.
