The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has greenlit a $44 million program aimed at enhancing the basic educational standards in Haiti. This funding will support a project focusing on children most at risk of dropping out of school, including girls and students with disabilities, as per an IDB statement.

Since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, over 2.4 million children have been unable to return to school in the country. This has resulted in low academic achievements and limited access to quality public education. Accordingly,
