On February 14th, many gift booths were at the Champ de Mars. From small cups, saucers, small baskets, and large baskets filled with sweets, champagne, and treats of all kinds, buyers could find gifts ranging from 250 to 4000 gourdes, according to one of the booth owners, Marie-Guerline, a forty-year-old who sells annually in the middle of rue Capois. In addition to the vendors holding the stands, street vendors also offered flowers, gift bags or packs of chocolates to all passers-bys.
